Safety Rules

- Clear Your Firearm Completely - Remove all live ammo and double-check the chamber.
- Safe Training Location - Solid backstop, no people/pets in the line of fire.
- Laser Cartridge - Use only approved iDryfire Laser Cartridges. Never mix with live rounds.
- Muzzle & Trigger Discipline - Finger off trigger until on target.
- Session Rulesย - No distractions. Stop if fatigued. Keep a first aid kit nearby.

10 Single-Shot Dry Fire Drills (Foundation)
All drills use 1 iDryfire Reactive Target at 3โ4 yards with the Reactive Target Timer App set to random start beep.
1. Low Ready Presentation
Purpose: Build fast reaction time and presentation speed.
- Start in a low ready position.
- On beep: Present firearm.
- Fire 1 clean shot.
- Reset trigger.
Reps: 2 sets of 5
Goal Times: Beginner <2โ3s | Intermediate <1.25โ2s | Advanced <1s
2. Holster Draw
Purpose: Develop a smooth, consistent draw stroke.
Reps: 2ร5
Goal Times: Beginner <3โ4s | Intermediate <2โ3s | Advanced <1.5s
3. Draw + Move to Cover
Purpose: Combine movement and shooting.
Reps: 2ร5

4. Draw + Reload + Shot
Purpose: Practice emergency reloads under time pressure.

5. Strong Hand Only (SHO)
Purpose: Build dominant-hand control and confidence.

6. Support Hand Only (WHO) โ Foundation
Purpose: Develop weak-hand proficiency for real-world scenarios.

7. Seated to Standing
Purpose: Simulate drawing from a vehicle or seated position.

9. Failure Drill (Malfunction Clearance)
Purpose: Train immediate action drills.

10. Precision Single Shot
Purpose: Focus on accuracy over speed.
Setup: Use the smallest target zone or move back to 5โ7 yards.
Reps: 3ร5 (slower pace)
Goal: Perfect hits with zero muzzle movement.

11. Concealed Appendix Draw (AIWB)
Purpose: Build a fast, consistent draw from the appendix inside the waistband.

12. Strong-Side IWB Draw (Hip Carry)
Purpose: Master traditional strong-side concealed draw.

13. Concealed Draw + One Step Back
Purpose: Create distance while drawing from concealment.

14. Draw from Seated (Vehicle / Chair)
Purpose: Simulate drawing while seated in a car or restaurant.

15. Concealed Draw + Immediate Malfunction Clearance
Purpose: Handle problems under realistic CCW stress.

16. Retention Draw (Close Contact)
Purpose: Practice drawing and shooting from compressed retention position.

17. Weak Hand Only from Low Ready
Purpose: Strengthen weak hand control and trigger management.
Steps:
- Start in low ready with weak hand only.
- On beep: Present firearm using support hand only.
- Fire 1 clean shot.
- Reset trigger and lower.
Reps: 2ร5

18. Concealed Weak Hand Draw
Purpose: Practice drawing and shooting from concealment with weak hand only.
Steps:
- Start with cover garment on, weak hand ready.
- On beep: Clear garment with weak hand, draw, and present.
- Fire 1 clean shot.
- Holster and cover.
Reps: 2ร5
Goal Times: Beginner <5โ6.5s | Intermediate <3.5โ4.5s | Advanced <2.75s
19. Weak Hand Lateral Movement + Shot
Purpose: Improve stability and accuracy while moving with weak hand.
Steps:
- Start holstered or low ready.
- On beep: Take one lateral step + draw/present with weak hand only.
- Fire 1 clean shot.
- Holster.
Reps: 2ร5 (alternate directions)
Goal Times: Beginner <5โ6s | Intermediate <3.75โ4.75s | Advanced <3s
20. Weak Hand Seated Draw
Purpose: Simulate vehicle or seated defensive scenarios with weak hand.
Steps:
- Seated with cover garment.
- On beep: Clear garment, draw with weak hand, stand if needed, and fire 1 shot.
- Holster and sit.
Reps: 2ร5
Goal Times: Beginner <5.5โ7s | Intermediate <4โ5s | Advanced <3.25s
21. Weak Hand Retention + Shot
Purpose: Master close-contact shooting from retention using support hand.
Steps:
- On beep: Draw to high retention position with weak hand only.
- Fire 1 clean shot from retention.
- Reset and holster.

Goal Times: Beginner <4.5โ5.5s | Intermediate <3โ4s | Advanced <2.5s
